Relocating production facilities due to business restructuring or capacity expansion may require the partial or complete relocation of factories and machinery. 

Such operations involve high transportation costs, significant time and effort, and may potentially disrupt production activities. 1. Requirements for Factory & Equipment Relocation 

Relocation can be carried out  in phases or as a one-time operation , depending on customer requirements. 

• Newly built factories designed with a modular layout allow machinery components to be easily dismantled and reassembled, enabling fast, efficient, and safe transportation and installation. 

• Older factory designs often present greater challenges, as dismantling, transportation, and reinstallation are significantly more complex. As a result, all structural components must be handled with extreme care throughout the entire process, from preparation and transportation to final handover. 

The location of the factory and delivery yard is always a critical factor in relocation projects. Whether the factory is situated in an industrial zone, rural area, or urban environment directly affects cargo pickup planning, transportation methods, safety regulations, and the duration of production downtime.

In Vietnam, PPL transported the entire equipment scope of the Formosa Ha Tinh project from Vung Ang Port to the construction site. The project was completed 15% ahead of the planned schedule. Most importantly, self-propelled modular transporters (SPMTs) demonstrated their capability to safely transport heavy and oversized cargo, particularly within industrial zone environments.
