Formosa Ha Tinh Project
The logistics project serves the Formosa Ha Tinh complex, including customs clearance and transportation of large volumes of construction equipment, containers, bulk cargo, LCL cargo, and air cargo throughout the construction and operation phases of the project.
Goals & Scope of Work
- Ensure fast and accurate customs clearance for all imported goods.
- Organize multimodal transportation (sea, road, and air).
- Handle oversized and overweight equipment shipments, bulk machinery, and containerized cargo.
- Maintain stable operational capacity with high and consistent output each year.
Key Challenges
- The volume of goods is very large and diverse.
- There is a tight deadline to ensure synchronization with the investor's construction schedule.
- Risk management is required for loose, easily damaged machinery and equipment.
- Coordination of transportation and customs clearance is necessary given the limited infrastructure in the area.
Results & Effectiveness
- Customs clearance and transportation of construction equipment for projects with cargo volumes exceeding 1,500,000 FT & 10,000 TEUs.
- Average annual customs clearance volume: 1500 declarations/year.
- Average annual container shipping volume: 3500 TEUs/year.
- Average annual volume of loose machinery and equipment transported: 10,000 FT/year.
- Average annual LCL (Less than Container Load) shipping volume: 20 MT/year.
- Average annual air freight shipping volume: 50 MT/year.
