QC08 Structure Relocation Project at Tan Vu Port Hai Phong
The engineers of PPL have completed the lifting and transportation of the QC08 bridge, a modern crane structure weighing nearly hundreds of tons, at Tan Vu Port.
Goals & Scope of Work
The project aims to enhance cargo handling equipment capacity, meet the requirements of container shipping lines, and increase the port’s competitiveness in container handling in the Northern region.
Solutions & Deployment
Project scope of work:
- Reinforcement of damaged crane legs
- Construction of a temporary crane storage foundation in the yard
- Assembly of trailer combinations according to configuration and installation of beam systems on the trailers at the yard
- Removal of obstacles and padding of wheel supports
- Jack lifting and removal of crane legs
- Demolition of the quay slope and installation of steel plate lining
- Positioning trailers at the cargo receiving location
- Tightening and securing the cargo
- Lifting and transportation
