Ia Le 1 Wind Power Project
PPL is responsible for transporting wind turbine blades for the Gia Lai Wind Power Project – one of the projects with the longest and most complex transportation routes, requiring safe and precise oversized and overweight transport solutions.
Goals & Scope of Work
The project was implemented to harness the wind energy potential of the Gia Lai region, supplement clean electricity sources, and support the economic development of the Central Highlands.
PPL was responsible for transporting turbine blades from Phu My to the construction site, covering a total distance of over 505 km.
Key Challenges
- The oversized turbine blades, measuring 76.4 meters in length, require specialized transportation techniques.
- The 505-kilometer route traverses various hilly, winding, and residential areas.
- The client demanded a tight deadline, ensuring continuous and safe transportation.
Solutions & Deployment
PPL collaborated with its partner Megamove and mobilized a specialized fleet of vehicles along with a team of experienced technicians to carry out the transportation.
The company developed a detailed transportation plan, thoroughly surveyed each route, and coordinated personnel effectively to meet time requirements and ensure the absolute safety of the turbine blades.
