Barossa–Singapore Project (Shipment 2)

The Barossa - Singapore Phase 2 project is being undertaken by PPL. The project will take place from February 23, 2023 to March 1, 2023.

Goals & Scope of Work

During this phase, two shipments, 6702A and 6702B, were transported by PPL from Vina-Offshore port to Dong Xuyen port and launched.

Solutions & Deployment

To transport and launch the two cargo packages, PPL performed several tasks, including:

- Assembling personnel and equipment at the port.

- Docking the barge, adjusting and mooring it to the pier.

- Installing pumps, pipes, etc., according to the plan and performing pre-ballast for the loadout.

- Arranging the support legs on the barge; assembling the trailer; attaching the trailer.

- Moving the trailer to the cargo location and securing the cargo to the trailer.

- Test lifting and moving the cargo from Vina-Offshore port to Dong Xuyen port.

- Checking the pump operation.

- The trailer moving the cargo to the loadout location and loading the cargo onto the barge.

Results & Effectiveness

All transportation and launching of the two cargo units were completed on March 1, 2023. PPL will continue to provide the latest updates on the progress of the Barossa-Singapore project.
