Vietnamese enterprise wins bid to build Hai Long wind power transformer station - Taiwan
The project will carry out the detailed design, procurement, construction and commissioning stages for 2 offshore transformer stations (including the base) with a total volume of about 18,000 tons. All components will be fabricated at the construction site of PTSC M&C Company (Vung Tau City).
Hai Long Offshore Wind Power Company (Taiwan) has just awarded the EPC General Contractor contract to the consortium Semco Maritime and PTSC Marine Mechanical Services Co., Ltd (PTSC M&C) to build 2 offshore substations under the project. Hai Long 2 and Hai Long 3 wind power after having awarded the priority agreement in October 2021.
Hai Long Wind Power Project includes component projects: Hai Long Wind Power Project 2 and Hai Long Wind Power Project 3 co-invested by Northland Power Company, Yushan Energy Company and Mitsui Company with total investment. installed capacity is 1,044 MW.
After implementing the commitments in the Priority Agreement from the end of 2021, the consortium of contractors led by Semco Maritime, together with PTSC M&C and the design contractor ÍC Consulting Engineers, will begin the project development phase by signed an EPC contract with the Investor Hai Long Offshore Wind Power.
The parties to the consortium will carry out the detailed design, procurement, construction and commissioning stages for 2 offshore substations (including the base) with a total volume of about 18,000 tons. All components will be fabricated on site by PTSC M&C Company (Vung Tau City).
According to the plan, the project will be deployed and installed offshore in 2024 and completed the test run and handed over to the investor in 2026. Over the past years, PTSC M&C has been the general contractor specializing in building mechanical components. serving the oil and gas industry such as: central processing rig, wellhead rig, marine housing area, superstructure, rig base.
Up to now, this enterprise has successfully manufactured nearly 80 mechanical projects in service of oil and gas exploitation for domestic and foreign investors.
